PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) announced the lineup of local startups and student startups that passed the Astranauts digital and technology innovation competition for the 2023 period.
The Astra program has been open since April and claimed to receive more than 2,200 applicants from students and startups, leaving 23 finalists.
The 23 finalists have received a 2-week mentoring session before being filtered through presentation and judging sessions, leaving 6 companies selected.
The six companies are
– Moona (a modern chicken farming technology solution provider),
– My Eco (an electric power saving device and application),
– Karla Bionics (a hand disability prosthetic device provider),
– Blitz (electric vehicle fleet customization startup),
– Logice (Sans) (cold chain facility logistics startup), and
– Fazpass (one-stop password management startup).
Astra’s Chief of Group Digital Strategy Paul Soegianto explained that the six companies were selected because they have shown their potential from the aspect of business assessment which is one of the main benchmarks of the program.
“Sustainability is a topic that we highlight in this [Astranaut digital innovation competition], later these six startups will be improved through business mentoring through the Astra InnovLab incubation program,” Paul said.
Astra has also selected three other startups that won in different categories, namely
– Kawancara (edtech startup specialized in job interview needs),
– Mengasihi Group (a company that processes breast milk into powder),
– Speakapp (a Web-based chat application3 from DIY).
Paul said there are 9 theme categories that participants can choose from in Astranauts 2023, namely:
Mobility innovation.
1. Agriculture.
2. Health technology.
3. Edtech.
4. ESG.
5. Fintech.
6. Logistics.
7. Internet of Things (IoT).
8. Media and entertainment
In addition to receiving business mentoring in the Astra InnovLab incubation program, the nine companies that pass Astranauts 2023 will become part of the Astra Startup Community; and have the opportunity to conduct business collaborations with Astra Group.
